Body Evolution Wellness is located in Glendale/AtWater. My studio is a space where healthy movement and specific modalities are designed to rebalance your body and brain. I offer a new kind of body and brain fitness, with services that lead you to greater awareness, strength, cardiovascular health, flexibility and balance, while also providing the best bone, joint, and brain health modalities available.

Body Evolution Wellness is a small studio based in the Glendale/AtWater region of Los Angeles, offering wellness programs and PX3 classes.

Your doctor

Dr. Mary J Ames Brown has over 28 years of experience in Classical Pilates, fitness, and Chiropractic wellness. She is a certified Neurogen Brain Balancing practitioner, with extensive knowledge of brain wave activity and coherence measures. She is a lifelong learner and continues to further her knowledge by taking extensive post-doctorate certificates and workshops in Chiropractic neurology, pre and postnatal pregnancy, and pediatric care.

Dr. Mary J. Ames Brown is a Chiropractor, Pilates instructor, and Roll Model Method Certified Practitioner with over 28 years of experience in Classical Pilates and Chiropractic wellness. She is a Neurogen Brain Balancing practitioner, with extensive knowledge of brain wave activity and coherence measures.

Dr. Ames Brown is a passionate educator who believes that everyone has the potential to improve their health and well-being. She has an extensive teaching background and she has taught many classes on topics related to health and wellness.

She believes that the best way to learn is by doing. She uses a hands-on approach to teaching, and she encourages her students to participate in exercises and activities. She also believes that it is important to understand the “why” behind the treatment, so she takes the time to explain the science behind each modality.

Furthermore, she holds certification in the Webster Technique of Perinatal pregnancy care, which involves advanced training and rigorous proficiency testing, ensuring top-notch care for expectant mothers.

What is Pilates?

Pilates is a whole-body exercise that has numerous benefits, from injury prevention to improved flexibility to better mental health.

It is a challenging low impact exercise method that balances strength with mobility, aligns the body, fine-tunes movement patterns, and strengthens the deeper muscles of the core.

Pilates is best known for its mat exercises and the reformer machine. There are a variety of reformer exercises suitable for beginners to advanced fitness professionals, and reformer work may be better for rehabilitating and preventing injuries.

PX3 Classes: Pilates Power Plates and Plyometrics Classes.

Using a combination of Power Plate and whole body vibration, body weight exercises, HIIT resistance training on the Power Plate, and Classical Pilates and Plyometrics with the rebounder, our classes offer a comprehensive workout. Utilizing top of the line Gratz, Power Plate Moves with Stroops Resistance Bands and Bellicon Rebounders, these energetic and joyful classes move your body through the best and most comprehensive fitness training of its kind. You will acquire strength for bones, muscles and tendons, and improve heart healthy cardiovascular endurance, all while enhancing breath control, stability and dynamic flexibility. All classes are 50 minutes long.

Neurogen HPN Neurofeedback

Introducing Neurogen HPN neurofeedback and Neuraokinesioception, a rehabilitation session designed to address anxiety, depression, cognitive decline, post-concussive syndrome, long Covid brain changes, and neurological conditions. Through neurofeedback brain stimulation, microcurrent, and functional motor pattern reprogramming, the doctor aims to retrain the brain and release pain and tension. The goal is to achieve healthy brain wave coherence and biomechanically correct movement, enabling efficient and easy motion. Sessions are 50 minutes long.

Chiropractic Dynamic Mobilization Sessions

These dynamic mobilization sessions will create mobility and healthy movement for your entire spine and peripheral joints. The doctor utilizes the latest European Chiropractic/osteopathic mobilization table called the Lojer Mauthera, it is truly the Bentley of mobilization tables. It allows her to use moderate and light force techniques, to mobilize your soft tissue and joints in all the ways they need to be, in order to achieve optimal joint health. Every treatment focuses on patient-centered care, meaning you and the doctor will collectively decide on the best course of treatment based on your condition, needs and goals.
